Warm retrospective with close friends

'It will be you / to know where you are going / flowers to grow instantly.'
So sang Chantal Acda over a decade ago in Paris, back to back with Nils Frahm, two on a piano stool, each on a keyboard. Beneath the piano parts, Adam Wiltzie resounded a glow of organ and strings.

That moment was a turning point for Chantal Acda. It led to the recording of her first album under her own name: Let Your Hands Be My Guide. Now it's time to celebrate. Chantal would like to do that with people who have been important over the past decade.

"I want to make Let Your Hands Be My Guide live, dance, speak and sing again. Like an open hand or, like during that wonderful concert with Frahm in Paris: a flower that doesn't bloom. Together and with you."

Chantal Acda & guests
Chantal Acda (vocals, guitar), Alan Gevaert (bass), Eric Thielemans (drums),
Gaetan Vandewoude (guitar), Niels van Heertum (euphonium, keys)

With Gregory Frateur (Dez Mona), Pieter Van Dessel (Marble Sounds), Frank Vander Linden (De Mens) and Patricia Vanneste

Support: RAMAN.

RAMAN. is raw emotion, a no nonsense guitar sound, melancholic instrumental interludes and a voice that, once it grabs you, never lets go. The music begins somewhere in the Ghent slums, an internalization of frontman Simon Raman. The band presents its new album!

Here is a video of the concert in question just over a decade ago, at the Café de la Danse in Paris. A reminder of who was there then, a turning point for Chantal Acda.
