Magical translation of poetry
Norwegian singer Susanna (Susanna and the Magical Orchestra, Susanna Wallumrød) creates bold and original musical worlds in which to lose yourself completely. For her next project, she will work with the poetry of Baudelauire, accompanied by tape-wizard Stina Stjern and improviser Delphine Dora.
In addition to her own songs, Susanna has the ability to make other people's stories her own, from AC/DC to Dolly Parton, Joy Division to Henry Purcell. It led to a magical string of records and projects and no less than three Norwegian Grammys. She has chosen interesting companions for this before, from Jenny Hval to Bonnie 'Prince' Billy.
Baudelaire & Piano (2020) received 4/5 stars in The Guardian, Irish Times and was Critic's Choice in The Financial Times. Now comes the reworking.
