Belgian pianist Jonas Cambien lives in Oslo, where he has made a name for himself as one of the most exciting voices on the freer side of the Norwegian jazz scene. He returns with his new supergroup Maca Conu - a Scandinavian quintet brimming with imagination and freedom.
With a sound that is as ingenious as it is melodic, they present a mix of sharp, joyful and irrepressibly creative approaches to jazz. Their acclaimed debut (2024, Clean Feed) showcases the versatility of Cambien's compositions and the superb improvisation of his star Scandinavian ensemble.
