Blaudzun, the versatile artist with his trademark large glasses and black clothing, continues to make his mark with honest, emotional compositions that touch and inspire listeners. For more than a decade, he has continued to delve into surprising melodies and poetic lyrics, an intriguing indiepop sound and his distinctive voice.
Since the release of 'Seadrift Soundmachine' in 2010, Blaudzun has been making a big impression with live shows at clubs and festivals across Europe and the USA. In recent months he has released two singles, including 'Dreamers', which spent four months in the Airplay Top 100. The perfect build-up to his ninth album, which he will present live with his band.
With ‘Latter Days’, Blaudzun continues his search for new musical paths. His collaboration with Marien Dorleijn, frontman of the band Moss, gave him the opportunity to explore a different role in the production process, the result feels both personal and timeless.
The title ‘Latter Days’ refers to an unfinished song that was originally supposed to form the heart of the album. However, the singer chose to name the album after this song, because, in his own words, ‘despite the dark undertone, it is about transition and the hope for something new’.
