Anniversary party + the new album Polaroid

When the corona pandemic broke out in March 2020, it turned the world upside down. For BLØF too, many plans fell through and the search began for what was still possible. With results, as they present the new album Polaroid. In the year they celebrate their 30th anniversary as a band. So in addition to new work, expect a look back at beloved classics.

The single "Bittersweet" is about memories that are not just beautiful. It is about mixed feelings, which again are connected to the pandemic.

About Polaroid

Many of the 13 songs were written and partly recorded in a hotel on Terschelling due to the corona closure: by the sea and the beach BLØF still feels at home. As a band that could not perform, it was sometimes difficult to maintain unity and the close bond between them, but after a day of playing and recording they could regain it around the stove.

Despite the location where many songs originated, Polaroid, except for the title track, did not become a record where sea and beach play a leading role, but melancholy is never far away.

BLØF collector

During this anniversary year, a new BLØF collector will also be released, also on vinyl. The BLØF archives will be cleaned up and previously unreleased or unknown material will come online. Also appearing this year, in the Nieuw Amsterdam Taalkunstenaars series, is an anthology of Peter Slager's texts, compiled by himself and with explanatory notes.
