Warm folk songs

Portland singer-songwriter Alela Diane is known for her beautiful indie folk songs. Her sixth album Looking Glass came amidst a lot of personal change. She sold the house where she was married, divorced and remarried. The house where she became the mother of two children. A bittersweet farewell.

Thus, Looking Glass - a reference to the 19th century word for mirror - grew into a portal to the past and future and a reflection on everything in between.

support: Omar Velasco

The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Omar Velasco is based in Los Angeles. He draws inspiration from artists such as Stevie Wonder, Milton Nascimento, Mercedes Sosa and folk greats such as Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Silvio Rodriguez.

Omar honors the sounds of the past while creating his own eclectic and multicultural mix. Born to a Jewish-American father and Mexican mother, he proudly represents the richness of his upbringing in his music.
