Celebrating in style

De Handelsbeurs is turning 20 and is celebrating with a dazzling series of new concerts and a new name. Throughout the season, we bring together various artists and genres in new creations and look back nostalgically as well as far ahead.

20 x music

  • Fri 09.09 Kick-Off massively singing with Allez, Chantez! and enjoying Intergalactic Lovers.
Come and celebrate our new story with free concerts on the Kouterplein.
  • Fri 30.09 Hiraeth with Wouter Vandenabeele or for Jonge Oren (6+)
Hiraeth is an ode to encounter, with Wouter Vandenabeele at the helm, who played the first concert at the Handelsbeurs 20 years ago.
  • Wed 12.10 Chantal Acda x Bruna Bavota
Chantal Acda has graced our bill many times before with a number of stunning projects and we've come to regard her as our resident artist. She returns for another surprising encounter, with pianist Bruno Bavota.
  • di 18.10 Draksler x Bach x Masecki
Both Kaja and Marcin have graced the Ha'fest poster in the past, with refreshing, sophisticated and playful performances on their piano. Both stand for the future of European jazz. At the request of the programmer, they will work with Bach.
  • Sat 11.02 Bright Lights Sessions #20 Deluxe
You can take the theme of 'encounter' literally at Bright Lights Sessions. During the day they rehearse for the first time, in the evening they shine on stage. Twenty years = twenty songwriters!
  • Fri 17.02 Sara Salvérius & Aino Peltomaa or for Jonge Oren (6+)
Sara Salvérius has already had quite a run in our house, always offering a feast of layered compositions and feelings. Together with singer Aino Peltomaa she creates a fairy-like dreamscape.
  • Fri 23.06 De Kortste Dansnacht
We close our party season dancing all night long. As always with pistolets and croissants for breakfast.

This series will be continuously updated (20 years, so 20 concerts?), so keep an eye on our channels!
