Worldly music and acts with walking dinner

Every year Soirée Harira stands for a diverse range of cultural acts by local Ghent artists, while enjoying a worldly buffet and a relaxed family atmosphere. This edition we raise a glass to the new year, together with new Afghan, Ukrainian and Syrian Gentenaars. Traditionally in Ghent we then say, "One with sugar."

All these new "Gentenaars" brought their music, cuisine and culture with them. They enrich our city and merge with the already cheerful mixture of flavors and colors. So it will be a colorful souk of an evening, because admit it: did you ever see Beatbox, Angolan rap/capoeira, Syrian dabka, Ghent folk and Ukrainian singing together on one stage?

Line-up including

• our Ghent city troubadour Wim Claeys,
• Beatbox legend Serdi & crew,
• Syrian music masters Amir Abla & Samer Najim and their group,
• Belgian-Angolese rapper Graci
• and performances by the Belgian-Angolese Capoeira company, dabka and bellydance!

So we update our New Year's toast to "the one with Soekraïne" and enjoy "tuupe tegoare" from a rich program.
