Feel good party with twelve turntables

After twenty years, Grazz gathers the complete and legendary DJ Grazzhoppa's DJ Bigband for a concert in full force.

In doing so, he demonstrates how twelve (!) turntablists can play together in a big band formation. The method is as simple as it is genius. Each DJ takes on a different section: bass, percussion, horns and vocals. Together with vocalist Monique Harcum and mentor Fabrizio Cassol on sax, they present The Science of Friction, a selection of top tracks from five previous sets.

Good for an extremely danceable, funky, oldskool DJ concert that will most likely change your DNA!

Size #1 to #5

Their story starts in 2003 with 6 DJs (Size #1) which soon grew to 12 DJs (Size #2) and made headlines with their performance at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, assisted by Fabrizio Cassol (Aka Moon) on sax and the soulful voice of Mo.
Shortly after (Size #3) followed the fusion of the DJ Bigband with the jazz trio Aka Moon (released on DVD & CD).
The follow-up (Size #4) "80 Beats Around The World" had a 3-piece horn section along with vocalists Mo and Laila Amazian.
The next trip went back to the roots (Size #5) "Back To Scratch" back with 6 DJs & Mo.

In 2022, CCBrugge honors DJ Grazzhoppa as a house artist and gets his own "Grazzhoppa Square." Grazz gets the opportunity, the place and the time to bring the 12-piece DJ Bigband back together. The Science of Friction brings the best of the five sizes, a powerful serving full of good vibes.
