Visceral improv

Surrender to the intoxicating atmosphere of Anemic Cinema. For this project, guitarist Artan Buleshkaj surrounds himself with three of the most adventurous young musicians from the Belgian jazz and improv scene. They present their first full-length album Iconoclasts.

Anemic Cinema refers to the short film by Dadaist Marcel Duchamp. The band draws its inspiration from a variety of sources: from heavy metal bands such as Tyft, Zeus! and Meshuggah, over classical composers like Messiaen and Webern to free improvisations from jazz.

It results in a visceral listening experience, from noise to calm and back. With a line-up without a bassist, this ensures extra surprises.

support: Emmeluth's Amoeba

The groundbreaking Emmeluth's Amoeba consisting of four of the most exciting musicians in the Scandinavian improv scene today. It's hard to remain unmoved by their energy, which bounces between free jazz and towards chamber music.
