For the first time in its long history, Ghent's Ham Sessions will be held indoors: the same adventurous spirit and warmth, this time on the Ha stage. This intimate garden party for handmade music shows that captivating music can also be created indoors. Each of us will present our own artist in a winter double bill. In May, the reverse encounter will follow, with Ha as a guest at Ham.
What connects Jeff Buckley, Jacques Brel, Jaco Pastorius, Anne Sylvestre, Gabriel Fauré and Baudelaire? Sweet Warriors explores the tension between strength and vulnerability, melancholy and zest for life.
Based on compositions by Lionel Beuvens and works by these artists, the band creates a musical universe in which poetry, improvisation and energy come together in search of peace and connection.

Swiss pianist and composer Nik Bärtsch invites you into his sound universe with a fascinating solo album that delves deep into his musical thinking. Whereas his work with Ronin and Mobile often revolves around collective energy, Entendre focuses – literally – on the subtle interplay between sound, silence and intention.
With great precision, his work unfolds between structure, improvisation, minimalism and groove. Bärtsch finds freedom in limitation and creates an intimate, meditative soundscape in which every note carries meaning.
