Fourth catchy album
Maarten Flamand and Esther Lybeert have been forming The Antler King together for over a decade. It's a beautiful marriage, and not just in music. During the ups and down of the pandemic, they stubbornly continued to do their thing. Emerging with a brand new pearl; their fourth album Dances.
The musical universe of The Antler King spans countless genres. It's a place where African rhythms reach out to the work of Mount Kimbie and Coco Rosie, with a touch of psychedelic Link Wray, here and there. Then another pat on the head from Connan Mockasin and a look at a world where the Belgian Madou is sparring with Prince.
Menacing, catchy and with a psychedelic side. So it's high time to get out of your room.
