The Parnassus Trio played its way to the top class of piano trios by recording complete works of more than fifteen composers (including Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms and Schumann) for this line-up. With the help of musicologists such as Joachim Draheim, they dug up forgotten scores from the archives in which numerous treasures of this genre, so popular in the 19th century, had found a home in obscurity, including works by Lalo, Schumann, Rheinberger and Schwarenka. They play with a special eye for detail, a sensitivity to moods and sound atmospheres, and a relentless drive for perfection.
