Forget the polished pop girls. Emmy d’Arc is in a league of her own. Whilst her peers were still playing with dolls, Emmy was belting out songs on the PlayStation game SingStar and claiming her first guitar. Her mission was clear even then: to take to the stage. Not to please, but to conquer.
What followed was a fifteen-year crusade across more than 450 stages. From sweaty concert venues to the hallowed grounds of Pukkelpop, Gent Jazz and Rock Werchter. She won over audiences as the support act for greats such as Sting, John Cale and Amy MacDonald.
With her debut album Braving Fears under her belt, Emmy d’Arc is ready to make her mark on the international scene. Her sound? A hybrid of intimate singer-songwriter pop and fiery power rock that cries out for an arena.
