The Kortrijk-based post-metal band Amenra has reigned supreme in Belgium and beyond for years, with performances that are more than just concerts. At Boomtown 2013, frontman Colin H. Van Eeckhout swept us away in a storm of fragility, whilst the Church of Ra erected a wall of musical mastery that left us speechless.
Their latest album, De Doorn, represents Amenra’s most sincere expression to date, entirely in Flemish and inspired by the fire rituals and sculptures the band has performed in Belgium over recent years. The result is a poetic and heavy album that lays bare the dark and light sides of humanity and demonstrates why Amenra remains essential today for anyone wishing to experience the boundary between pain, beauty and catharsis. Want to experience it (literally)? Then come and witness it at Ha Concerts during Boomtown 2026.
