Ezhel mixes rap, trap and reggae into music that is honest, raw and full of stories about the lives of young people. His album Müptezhel (2017) was an instant hit in Turkey and gave a voice to a generation that balances between pressure, dreams and the reality of city life. Today, he travels internationally and brings beats and lyrics that resonate everywhere. Don't miss the only Belgian stop on his tour!
Ezhel (born in 1990 in Ankara) grew up on the streets of the Turkish capital, where he was exposed to hip hop, reggae and Anatolian rock at an early age. As a teenager, he started freestyling and participating in underground rap battles. With his debut Müptezhel, he broke through with raw tracks such as “Şehrimin Tadı” and “Geceler”.
His open social criticism and legal prosecutions made him a symbol of artistic freedom. He has also made a name for himself internationally, collaborating with artists such as Aitch, Luciano, Gentleman and Ufo361. Today, he is known as an artist who excels in storytelling, identity and social commentary.
