Upbeat groovy rock

Why are there no playgrounds for adults? Tom Van Laere, alias Admiral Freebee, sincerely wonders. With the same uninhibited joy with which he concluded his anniversary tour last year, he returned to the rehearsal room: guitar around his neck, foot on the pedal, and playing from the gut.

The result is “Q&A With Myself”, an up-tempo, groovy rock track of just under three minutes, full of danceable guitars, synths and light-hearted ‘HEYs’. Uncomplicated and energetic, but with a nod to missed connections: a preview of his eighth studio album, the follow-up to The Gardener (2021), which will be released in early 2026.
