Proud to present: Helena Casella
We are proud to introduce our new artist-in-residence for the season. Brazilian-Ghent composer and vocalist Helena Casella will be settling into the heart of Ha this year as a musician, creator, and guide for the audience.
In a series of concerts, residencies, and surprising collaborations, she will share her warm mix of Brazilian roots, jazz harmony, and contemporary soul.
Helena's first visit to Ha
I just want to be around a lot at Ha, talk a lot, and get inspired by the artists who come by. Who knows, maybe my young perspective and network will help me build connections between the house and artists that I find interesting. I see it as a two-way street. So you'll be seeing a lot of me around here.
From her Foyer Matinee with Uncle Pablo, brimming with Brazilian charm, to a long-awaited album release where her own voice can shine to the fullest, there is much to discover about Helena.
Her residency is part of a whole series of projects ‘Powered by Ha’. There, we support creators behind the scenes, from various types of residents, jams, masterclasses, and collabs. As a house of adventure, Ha is more than just concerts.
