From unspeakable to inescapable. This is the best way to summarize Yevgueni's steady rise. With Kannibaal, Aan de Arbeid and We are here now, the five-piece band around Klaas Delrue won three gold medals and a permanent place in the Flemish music scene. But with producer Stef Kamil Carlens, Yevgueni looked for and found an even fresher breath, which can be heard on the brand new fourth album Welkenraedt. The press (De Standaard, De Morgen, Metro) spread already with stars, often four at the same time, and speaks of 'Yevgueni's best CD so far'.

Delrue and co also always go for the full loot live, with the outliers, legendary passages in Dranouter, on Marktrock or in our very own Handelsbeurs. One moment Yevgueni takes the audience in tow, only to grab it by the scruff of the neck the next. The Dutch group Racoon sounds musically honest, straightforward and artless. Lyrically mature, matured and often melancholic, but undiminished hopeful and positive. With their third album Another Day (2005), a grown Racoon delivered an album that automatically becomes a good friend of yours. Good for gold in the Netherlands and a pack of sold-out shows, the group is now well on its way to becoming big in Belgium. In 2009 they provided fireworks at Kraakpand 3.1.
