At the end of last year, Wim Mertens signed an agreement with the EMI-Classics label, widely respected in the classical world. His 51st album, 'Receptacle', was the first release on this label last fall. It is a collection of compositions for an extensive ensemble consisting of 17 female musicians. Around this release, the Wim Mertens Ensemble gave a limited number of concerts that were very well received by the public and media. The Handelsbeurs was also packed to the rafters twice in November 2007. This season, Wim Mertens is reprising this production. If you weren't there then, you better be quick now!
