BENEFIT T.V.V. VUVEUTELINGENWERK VZW

Moved by the dire situation in which many refugees find themselves, Flip Kowlier brings several musicians together on one stage. Together with, among others, 't Hof van Commerce, Gabriel Rios, Brihang, Tourist Lemc, Coely, Raymond van het Groenewoud, Daan and Isolde Lasoen, he makes a gesture of solidarity, a request for understanding and compassion. A colorful evening, not too corny and with good music.

'I happened to be born here. My parents happened to be born here. I had no control over any of that. I don't feel like I have the right to say who deserves a good life and who doesn't. On the contrary, I just want to help. Just like many other people make them feel welcome.

People come here in the hope of building a better life. Whether they are fleeing war or just miserable circumstances, it doesn't really matter. They need help. That's why this evening. To raise some money, but above all to remind people of humanity. I wouldn't want to be in their shoes. You don't either, I think.' (Flip Kowlier)

VLUTEINGENWERK VZW

The proceeds from this benefit concert will go entirely to Vluchtelingenwerk vzw, an organization that is committed to guiding and supporting refugees. They will use the money for their Starting Point, where they receive asylum seekers on the first day of their arrival and provide necessary information about the asylum procedure.

They also use the money for their information desk to support lawyers and care providers of asylum seekers and refugees. Finally, they need the contribution for their fundamental policy work. This way they can keep their finger on the pulse for a humane, fair and high-quality asylum procedure.
