One of the most notable breakthroughs of 2012 was that singer-songwriter Marco Z from Hasselt, who managed to win an MIA award for… Best Breakthrough. I’m a Bird, Endlessly be Together and This Smile, three songs from his I’m a Bird EP became radio hits. His appearance at various festivals, a European tour in support of David Bazan and Jonathan Jeremiah and the album The Ordinary Life of Marco Z prove that he is ready to take the Handelsbeurs’ stage.
