In 2003, the Va Fan Fahre was born, with a simple goal in mind: to perform fanfare music with Eastern European influences. The repertoire initially consisted of klezmer, but was later supplemented with Romanian and Bulgarian fanfare music and own compositions. The musicians of Va Fan Fahre have previously blown their minds with groups such as Think of One, Moker, Flat Earth Society, Galatasaray, Excelsiorand many others. In 2005, the group released a full CD of their own work, which was well received both on Radio 1 and internationally. Va Fan Fahre has just recorded a new CD, for which several guests were present: Mahabub Khan (vocals/tabla),Aisha Haskal(vocals/Morocco), Tcha Limberger(violin), Saf (vocals/in Ghent) and Paola Marquez(vocals/Colombia). Va Fan Fahre is proud to present this new collected fanfare fun in the Handelsbeurs to you.
SUPPORT: MYRDDIN DE CAUTER
Myrddin De Cauter was already at the HA'ndelsbeurs in February 2006 for a much-received flamenco concert. This time he comes to warm up the audience before Va Fan Fahre is released into the audience. We can already feel the temperature rising!
