After far too long a silence, Tracy 'Mother Mother' Bonham makes herself heard again. The American is back with a hell of an album. We have long since forgiven her for causing Soulwax to be shaken to its foundations when she broke up with their then drummer. Especially after that beautiful duet 'My Cruel Joke' with Soulwax. In the meantime, she has divorced again and she writes off that sadness on her recent long player 'Blink The Brightest'. Not that the album has become a dark, sad record. On the contrary, the fun radiates from the songs. The classically trained Bonham himself plays piano, violin, guitar and vibes. 'Blink The Brightest' proves once again that she still has the gift of writing short catchy pop songs that now have a more rootsy twist. Tonight Tracy will perform in an intimate duo setting, together with a multi-instrumentalist.
