Tower of Power

TOWER OF POWER

The story of Tower of Power begins in the late 1960s. Together with bands like The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane and Santana, they help define the 'San Francisco Sound'. The train hasn't stopped since the releases of 'East Bay Grease' and 'Bump City'. On the contrary, in addition to a whole series of albums, there followed collaborations with Aerosmith, Little Feat, Santana, Phish, Elton John,... Following their 40th anniversary, there was the release of a collector and the album Great American Soulbook .

But, Tower of Power remains at its best live. Funk, soul, jazz and rock in an explosive mix dominated by brass instruments.

James Brown once said: "There's no black group that plays my stuff as good as them."
Do you need another reason to put this funk/soul party in your agenda?
