Since June 10, the godfather of the swamprock have a new album on the shelves. 'Deep Cuts' contains some reworked versions of earlier songs that were provided with beats by son Jody. “White does not dust off the songs like museum pieces, but gives them sultry arrangements,” says De Morgen. The record is craftsmanship: a streamlined sound that navigates between the soft-heavy White voice, the characteristic guitar playing and an intense blues feeling.
