Tone Clusters

Throw five of the best Flemish musicians into one pile and there is 'Tone clusters'. Kris de Bruyne is one of Flanders' strongest songwriters. With the help of four other heavyweights, Jean-Marie Aerts, Patrick Riguelle, Henri Ylen and Filip Casteels, he released the album 'Westende Songs' at the end of 2005. It became his best album ever. The five liked the collaboration so much that they decided to join forces for concerts as well. Moreover, none other than Vévé 'Shake' Mazimpaka was found willing to accompany the gang. She is the Belgian-Congolese singer of the Afro-Punk group 'La Fille d'Ernest', which was particularly popular in the late 1980s. In the 'Tone clusters' program, one of the musicians always takes the lead. Each of them brings a selection from their own or borrowed repertoire, accompanied by the company. The result is a goosebumps program about birth, love, art & death; about desire, friendship & respect. But a humorous note is never far away.
