In Search of Lost Sounds

Imagine putting on a magical audiobook. A few years ago, the musician Hendrik Lasure released an album about what it’s like to be a child. But now he’s released a brand-new album: ‘De Val’!

It features eleven special songs in Dutch. In them, Hendrik takes you to a world that seems very real, yet where something enchanting happens. The songs tell stories about how it feels to be with others, or, conversely, to be alone for a while.

To compose these songs, Hendrik put his trusty piano aside. Instead, he opted for a guitar. As a result, the music sounds wonderfully honest, calm and uncluttered.

He sings the songs in a very special way: sometimes it sounds like proper singing, and sometimes as if he’s reading a beautiful poem to you. It’s special music for anyone who loves beautiful stories and wants to drift off into a lovely daydream for a while!
