In October 2007, British post-punkers The Wombats catapulted themselves towards international success with the release of their single 'Let's dance to Joy Division'. The three band members met at Paul McCartney's rock school, the Liverpool Institute Of Performing Arts. The Wombats continue the tradition of predecessors such as the Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand and Arctic Monkeys, and are clearly having fun with it. Their fresh, bouncy songs stick well in your mind and always create an exuberant live atmosphere. This new Britpop generation is charging straight towards its target – you – and has no intention of taking it easy! Everyone together:"Let's dance to Joy Division and celebrate the irony / Everything is going wrong / and we're so happy!"
