The Sonics are the godfathers of punk, grunge, garage rock, ... as long as it bursts at the seams on a stage. They paved the way and set the guidelines for all who followed. Way before fans like The White Stripes, The Hives, Nirvana, Mudhoney, The Cramps of The Fall, deep in the sixties (beforeThe Kinks or The Stooges), The Sonics tore from the American state of Washington with local hits such as 'The Witch', 'Strychnine' and 'Psycho'. The big breakthrough did not materialize, and in 1968 The Sonics called it a day. But the blood creeps where it can't go. Since 2007, singer Gerry Roslie - who is not called the white Little Richard for nothing - and his band have been back with their unabashed fifties-style blues cries and relentless rhythmic drive.< /p>
