As their name suggests, The Rhythm Junks serve up ass-shaking dope! Frontman and harmonica king Steven De Bruyn has already provided an example of inimitable rhythmic blues pleasure with El Fish. With The Rhythm Junks he goes one step further. The group itself describes this sound as “a hot-house groove of alien swing, crazy camel blues and cool funk, heavily spiced with harmonica and powerfully blasted in the face with a quartet of wind instruments.” The arrangements are downright impressive and the musicians play together like cogs in a wall clock. Before you know it, you'll be raging like a savage. The group is currently working on a new album with producer Geoffrey Burton. They will present this CD at the Handelsbeurs on March 14. You come at your own risk, because The Rhythm Junks are damn addictive.
