The John Oates Blues Band

John Oates recorded his first single in 1966, while still in high school. At university he met Daryl Hall, with whom he signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records as Hall & Oates in 1972. They now have more than 20 albums, of which more than 80 million have been sold worldwide. It makes them one of the most successful duos in pop-rock history. It wasn't until 2002 that John Oates released a solo album. His long-awaited third album 'Mississippi Mile' was released in 2011. This Americana/blues record is the musical biography of Oates.

“Oates’s latest album, Mississippi Mile, is a rootsy homage to the Americana that initially inspired him.” – The New Yorker
