The Golden Palominos

The Golden Palominos are the brainchild of legendary New York drummer and producer Anton Fier. It was never really a 'band', but rather an elastic collective of musicians brought together by Fier for a specific purpose. These included Arto Lindsay, John Zorn, Fred Frith, Michael Stipe, John Lydon, Syd Straw, Richard Thompson, Jack Bruce, Bernie Worrell, Bootsy Collins and Nicole Blackman, in addition to the more permanent members Bill Laswell and Nicky Skopelitis. Between 1982 and 1996, The Golden Palominos made eight albums, with a different genre depending on the musicians who contributed. At this sublime concert, Anton Fier wants to present the music of some of the current Palominos members to the general public:
