The Bad Plus

The new teddy bears in the current jazz environment are called 'The Bad Plus'. Their name and appearance may seem dangerous, but their music is certainly not inferior. Good is never interesting, the trio must have thought, because with their own acoustic interpretation of contemporary jazz, the Americans deliver a unique sound with a sharp, but fascinating edge. Moreover, they do not hesitate to tackle other genres, such as songs by the Pixies, Black Sabbath, Blondie and Aphex Twin. Across the pond, The Bad Plus is a revelation and we predict that Europe will also be given the ax soon.

After the concert there will be an aftershow by Nuspirit Helsinki, a collective of DJs, producers and musicians who can be called, as it were, the Finnish brother of Jazzanova. Tonight one of the DJs will bring a dynamic big band mix of jazz, funk, soul, afro & Latin, hip hop, nu soul and hip hop, they will undoubtedly attack your lower limbs.
