Tamikrest: ‘Kidal’

Rock 'n roll from the desert

Tamikrest is an ensemble of exceptional Tuareg musicians from the Sahel. Like Tinariwen, they combine all the points of the compass into a solid desert rock and a restrained wilderness blues.

Kidal (2017), their fourth studio album, is both a tribute and a protest.
