SUNDAY BELL RINGERS

Sunday Bell Ringers rises from the ashes of the previous band around singer Joeri Cnapelinckx: Kawada. Sunday Bell Ringers' self-titled debut album is still fresh on the shelves. The music fits in with Arcade Fire or Black Heart Procession. They are catchy and adventurous compositions that are reminiscent of the soundtrack of Twin Peaks:

You book a train trip on a suspicious summersday.
The train goes off the rails.
You get lost in the woods.
You hear organs, dirty beats and voices, a lot of voices.

SENNE GUNS

Senne Guns is, according to Wouter Mattelin of Radio 1, “the Ben Folds of the Low Countries”. It is not surprising that as a support act he can share the stage with like-minded soul Spinvis. In 2009, Senne Guns and his band (Wouter Vlaeminck, Bruno Ravelingien, Laurens BillietandSimon Casier) came second at the Nekka Competition. At the end of 2010 they completed their first full CD: Hoera Voor De Elboe. The nice listening lyrics are sometimes supported by light pop melodies and sometimes interspersed with post-rock or indie influences. Senne Guns is a rich addition to the Flemish music scene, which should not remain undiscovered.

'Hooray for the eleboe' is a cross between spinfish and flaming lips: playful and pleasantly crazy, but always with with a view to a good melody. De Morgen
