Steve Earle & Allison Moorer

The American singer-songwriter Steve Earle is not only known for his rock and country music, but also for his outspoken political lyrics. In the 1970s he started his career in bars alongside anti-Vietnam activists. He later spoke against the death penalty, against the 'war on terrorism' (Jerusalem, 2002) and against the war in Iraq (The Revolution Starts Now, 2004). 'The Revolution Starts Now' was used in the promotion for Michael Moore's anti-war documentary 'Fahrenheit 9/11'.

Steve Earle finds a great source of inspiration in the zeitgeist of Bob Dylan. His latest album 'Washington Square Serenade' reflects the idealism of the folk revival of that period. Steve Earle is a great musician who makes the world feel better with a wonderful voice, powerful music and hard-hitting lyrics. The icing on the cake of this concert is his wife: singer-songwriter Allison Moorer.
