Spinvis

Since 2001, Erik de Jong has added an extra page to the Dutch song as Spinvis. De Jong is a 'singer-sample-songwriter'. He translates the simplest subjects into moving pop poetry. In his carefully arranged music he incorporates surprising attributes such as whistles and pan lids. Spinvis has also been busy with numerous side projects in recent years. For example, he made the soundtrack for 'Man zkt Vrouw', the Belgian film starring Wim Opbrouck and Jan Decleir, which is currently showing is in the cinema. This year he also won the Dutch Pop Prize, the highest musical award in the Netherlands. His new album 'Magicians & Spirits' is a collection of songs that never made it onto a regular CD.
