The Handelsbeurs opens its doors to the public again! Dive into the summer together with a series of intimate concerts. The concert hall transforms into a green oasis for the occasion, complete with plant jungle, softly singing birds and subdued lighting. Welcome to the Secret Garden of Ghent.

Tutu Puoane and the Rebirth Collective

Within jazz, the swing era has brought us legendary artists such as Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and Sarah Vaughan. Using their voice as an instrument, they entered into full-fledged dialogue with the band. They sang the Great American Songbook into history.

Tutu Puoane will be working with that repertoire, together with the Rebirth Collective. This eight-piece orchestra combines the sound of a real full big band with the mobility of a smaller ensemble. The members earn their spurs with, among others, the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Flat Earth Society, Daan, Liefde Voor Muziek and Jef Neve.

Their arrangements of the well-known crooner hits and Tutu's fantastic voice simply set off fireworks on stage. It may become impossible to sit still.
