Intimate concerts in an imaginary garden

Dive into the summer together with the Handelsbeurs with a series of intimate concerts. For the occasion, the concert hall transforms into a green oasis, complete with plant jungle, softly singing birds and subdued light. Welcome to the Secret Garden of Ghent.

MATTIASDECRAENE

After the nocturnal fornication and turbulent grooves of Nordmann and MDCIII, Mattias De Craene moves in for his solo track.

Not only by looking for a personal and more introverted sound on the seesaw between minimalism and melancholic meditation, but also by focusing on the saxophone as an inner sound box.

There are interfaces with the worlds of Nils Frahm and Colin Stetson, but De Craene employs a language that is entirely his own and in which tender cravings and the tumult of wild nature converge.
