Scott Matthew

The Australian singer and songwriter Scott Matthew is a standout. In all his austerity he shines above all mediocrity. With his sultry androgynous voice and his dreamy, melancholic and intimate music, he effortlessly follows in Antony's footsteps. Fans of Antony and the Johnsons, Rufus Wainwright and Joan As Police Woman will immediately go to their knees. Together with ex-Morrisey group member Spencer Cobrin, he founded the alternative pop band Elva Snow, but later continued his path alone. His songs are disarmingly honest and intense. He is a rising star and we are already convinced of his extraordinary potential. Discover Scott Matthew in the HA'. Overwhelming in its simplicity…

SUPPORTS: Jasper Erkens and Holly Miranda

Jasper Erkens is the 15-year-old singer-songwriter who just came second in HUMO's Rock Rally. He got his first guitar at the age of eleven and his first songs were completed two years later. Erkens' biggest sources of inspiration are Nick Drake, Damien Rice and the young David Bowie. He has previously appeared on stage in the AB and in the Depot in Leuven. Jasper is currently working on his debut album. With a phenomenal voice and inspirations such as Nina Simone, Katrina Ford, Sparklehorse, Jeff Buckley, Dolly Parton, Edith Piaf, Radiohead, Aretha Franklin, and many others, Holly promises Miranda to become a big name. On her myspace page you can see a video of her singing 'Between The Bars' by Elliot Smith with ScottMatthew.
