Peter Murphy

Peter Murphy was the frontman of Bauhaus and is held in high esteem by an entire generation as the 'Godfather of Goth'. Since the split of Bauhaus in 1983, not only the Bauhaus band members continue to cross Murphy's path, but also Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails regularly appears at his side. Solo, Peter Murphy slalomed past Turkish influences to the somewhat dark, but mature pop rock that characterizes him today. Over the years, Peter Murphy has lost none of his theatrical, powerful, dark self. He is and remains a versatile singer and can still effortlessly destroy the audience if he wants to.

On his 'Secret Cover Tour 2009'Peter Murphy provides a glimpse of his new album coming out soon. In April he dropped his Secret Cover 1, John Lennon's 'Instant Karma', on iTunes. Secret Cover 2 followed in July: David Bowie's 'Space Oddity'. Live in the Handelsbeurs.
