Granada has always been an important breeding ground for flamenco talent. But the level of the generation that is now emerging is very striking. While young talent such as Estrella Morente and Marina Heredia have quickly found their way to the top in the Cante, phenomenal talent is now also emerging in the Baile Flamenco.

The most striking dancer of this new generation is called Patricia Guerrero. Her dance style is graceful, elegant and shows a special zest for life and emotionality. Already at a young age she developed a unique style that contains many different influences. Last year she won the 'Premio El Desplante' at the international flamenco festival of La Union. Since then she has secured her place at the most important flamenco festivals in Spain. Patricia Guerrero is now coming to the North for a first full-fledged foreign tour.
