Liebert was born in Cologne in 1959, the child of a Chinese-German father and Hungarian mother. He spent his youth mainly traveling through Europe and Asia, later moving to Boston, the East Coast of the US, and eventually settling on the West Coast in Santa Fe / California. He now has five Grammy nominations to his name and continues to play to sold-out audiences. A nice addition to the list of impressive flamenco artists that the Handelsbeurs has attracted in recent years.
