OORSMEER: MUSIC FESTIVAL FOR A YOUNG AND ADVENTURE AUDIENCE

OORSMEER is coming! The adventurous festival for young music lovers will once again take place this year in the Flemish Opera and the Handelsbeurs. With a program packed with concerts, installations and workshops, OORSMEER will be more than ever a musical voyage of discovery you will never forget.

AN PIERLÉ ON THE CIRCUS PLANET

For OORSMEER, the brand new Ghent city composer An Pierlé dives into the circus world. For her, music and movement always go together. Even though she sits behind a piano, she prefers to do so on a large sitting ball where she can continue to bump and bounce while playing and singing. There is also movement around her, namely by the young artists of the Ghent Circusplaneet. Trapezes, tightrope walkers and jugglers are stimulated by the music or enter into a rhythmic dialogue.

The stage is completed with the piano of Fulco Ottervanger and the percussion of Wim Segers. The whole gang guarantees an unprecedented circus concert in which spectacle and poetry are the most important ingredients.
