Niño Josele

Niño Josele was born in Almeria in 1974. He grew up in a family where the flamenco guitar has been central for generations. So flamenco is in his blood. But Niño Josele would explore, exceed and ultimately push the boundaries of the genre. When he first heard the piano music of jazz legend Bill Evans, he was so captivated that he decided to do something with it. He delved into Bill Evans' music, made it his own and converted it into the language of flamenco guitar. The result is the CD “Paz”, which was released in 2006. It is a wonderful web of jazz and flamenco that honors both genres. On November 24, a fresh jazz wind will also blow through flamenco in the Handelsbeurs.
