Night of Gypsies

Our Night of the Gypsies guarantees a dazzling party every year.

With the Fanfare Ciocarlia that won't be a problem. The brass band, from a small Romanian hamlet with barely 400 inhabitants, breathes music. Every week they take out their instruments to enhance Romanian weddings or other ceremonies. The wind players attack their instruments even more wildly than Goran Bregovic's band. Rumor has it that they sometimes play non-stop for thirty hours. Something we unfortunately cannot allow them in the Handelsbeurs, because after them Gitans de Perpignan enter our stage. This four-member gypsy family comes from the Quartier Saint Jaume of Perpignan, the cradle of French gypsy music. French gipsy at its best!
