Myra Melford’s Snowy Egret

In past years, the American pianist Myra Melford has led several marvellous bands, balancing between chamber music and jazz. For her latest project, ‘Snowy Egret’, she has brought in some creative heavyweights.

She took her inspiration from the Uruguayan author Eduardo Galeano. The result sounds open, contemplative and exploratory.
