Mógil

The young Antwerp clarinetist/saxophonist Joachim Badenhorst has been active in various modern jazz projects in and outside Belgium for several years. Mógil is one of those groups he co-founded. Mógil is half Icelandic and half Belgian. In the summer of 2006, the group toured small, rustic Icelandic churches. In September 2007 they reunited in an Icelandic church to record their debut album Ró, which has been on the shelves since September 2008.

Bang!

The group around the Finn Alexi Tuomarila was founded at the Brussels conservatory. In September 1999, the fledgling quartet won the First Prize during the '21th International Jazz Contest - Jazz Hoeilaart'. As a pianist, Alexi Tuomarila also won the 'Prize for the Best Soloist'.

Bang! brings sophisticated, contemporary jazz, with a warm and mature sound, which echoes Finnish folk.
