The head is off. Mineral Jazz is open, and how! The Jasper Huysentruyt Trio and Moker provided a wonderful jazz evening in the packed Mineral Jazz Club on November 6.

For this second edition, jazz master Christian Mendoza once again selected two young jazz revelations:

This trio plays music in which different styles are confronted with each other. The 3 musicians mix jazz with rock, trip-hop or jungle.

The brutal force of the rhythm alternates with lyrical moments where atmosphere, harmony and melody are central. All this is achieved in long drawn-out themes and interactive improvisations. In addition to their own music, this trio also ventures into interpretations of music, ranging from Monk to Frank Zappa.
